Registered Counsellor

A place to think out loud together.

People often come to therapy when something within themselves, or in their relationships, no longer feels manageable alone, and they are looking for a different way forward. I offer a reflective and supportive space to explore what may be difficult to face alone.

Approach & Sessions

As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of psychotherapeutic approaches and tailor my way of working to each client’s individual needs, circumstances and presenting concerns. Rather than applying a single therapeutic model, I integrate different approaches to develop a way of working that is responsive to you as an individual.

Integrative Counselling

I integrate psychodynamic, humanistic and existential approaches, exploring present difficulties alongside how past experiences may shape current patterns of thinking, feeling and relating.

Somatic Experiencing (SE)

I incorporate Somatic Experiencing principles to support nervous system regulation and explore how stress and difficult experiences may be held and expressed through the body.

Therapeutic Relationship

Research shows that the therapeutic relationship is central to successful therapy. I aim to provide a warm, collaborative and non-judgemental space where you can explore openly and at your own pace.

Sessions

Usually, I allow up to 6 sessions before deciding on working together. If we both agree that therapy can be beneficial then we will have our agreement, including a regular weekly time slot and a fee. If I feel that you would benefit more from working with another specialist, I will do my best to refer you to them.
